Disruptor Day took place at Blueprint, London and was an afternoon of insights, opportunities and networking! We kicked off with serial disruptor and CEO, Hayley Roberts, asking Founder of The Lamplight, Annabel Berry, about how she embraces challenge, followed by our Delve panel, hosted by Deputy Chief Technologist, Kobi Hunn, who discussed the digital awakening of operational technology (OT) across the world in the cinematically titled OT: The Rise of the Machines!
OT impacts energy, industrial, oil & gas, robotics, telecoms, waste and water control industries amongst others. It’s created a new source of information, control and power for organisations. It’s also opened up a new attack vector for threat actors and a new source of safety impacting risk for organisations. With a wealth of expertise in OT, who could have been more apt to delve into this topic than Jake Alosco (VP of Global Partnerships, Cyolo), Ian McGowan (CEO at Barrier Networks), Harjit Hothi (Senior Sales Engineer at OPSWAT) and Chris Bihary (CEO, Garland Technology)?
We rounded off with a keynote speech from ex-fraudster and teenage credit card millionaire, Elliot Castro. He spent over £2 million of other people’s money but, reformed by jail time, he now advises major companies on risk and how to avoid being scammed. Elliot relates the systems he used on both the card companies and individuals and demonstrates how human nature makes forms of manipulation so easy to achieve.
C-Level and Senior Leaders from channel businesses were welcome to join us and our panel of OT experts to learn about this fascinating and brilliant world of sales opportunity that their customers’ IT leaders are being drawn into. This panel helped them understand the value that they, and their teams, can create in supporting customers cybersecure the world of OT.
