Distology the specialist IT security distributor, is reporting its most successful period to date having more than doubled its team over the past 12 months, as well as onboarding new vendor LogRhythm.

Growing from 20 to 50 employees, Distology has made a number of senior hires over the past year, including new Chief Product Officer, Lance Williams, who joined in June 2021 following a 15-year period at global IT infrastructure provider Softcat, where he headed up its market development for services.  Bringing with him vast experience in growing revenue and services, as well as improving collaboration within internal teams, Lance will be instrumental in Distology’s next phase of growth.

The business, which holds key partnerships with specialist technology vendors including Okta, Verkada, Yubico, LogRhythm and Beyond Identity, has also increased its revenues by more than 75% over the past three years.

In order to facilitate this significant growth, the company; which gained private equity investment from NorthEdge Capital earlier this year to scale – has recently moved its global headquarters to a 4,000+ sq.ft office, almost tripling its existing space.

“It’s been a really challenging 18 months for so many businesses, with so much uncertainty across the board. However, we’re delighted that we’ve been able to accelerate growth from both a team and commercial standpoint, whilst retaining the key elements that make our business unique.

“We credit our success to a number of different factors including the dedication of our talented team, our unique and innovative ways of working, exceptional customer experiences and deep knowledge and expertise of the cyber sector,” comments Hayley Roberts, CEO at Distology.

As it scales, Distology will continue to prioritise growing its team with a focus on promoting diversity. In 2020, the business won the Gender Parity Award at the CRN Women in Channel Awards, and in 2019 launched its ‘Join the Club’ campaign, focusing on getting more women into STEM roles.

“It’s a really exciting time at Distology and we’re looking forward to really accelerating the successes we’ve seen over the past 12 months. We want to continue shaking up the distribution market, with a focus on providing a unique and valuable service to our clients, as well as growing and developing our internal team,” Hayley continued.

The company has been shortlisted for an additional seven awards including Gender Parity at the 2021 CRN Women in Channel Awards and Distributor of the Year (sub £250m to), Cloud Distributor of the Year and Technology Incubator at the 2021 CRN Awards.
