In 2022 LastPass experienced two security incidents affecting the company and its customers. Both were caused by a vulnerability in third-party software, allowing a threat actor to access non-production environments. Despite sharing technical details with law enforcement, the identity and motives of the threat actor remain unknown, and no underground activity related to stolen information has been detected.
